I am excited to meet everyone and continue to strengthen the instructional program at Alliance O'Donovan Middle Academy during the 2018-19 school year! I am originally from Minnesota and I majored in English Literature at Carleton College. After undergrad, I moved to Los Angeles and have primarily worked in LA public schools for the past 6 years. I am very passionate about collaborating with teachers to support all students both instructionally and emotionally.
I started teaching ELA & Special Education at Manual Arts High School in South LA where I also served as the English Department Chair. At that time, I received my master's degree in Special Education at Loyola Marymount University. More recently, I worked as an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal at Collegiate Charter High School. In my free time, I love camping, hiking, singing, going to concerts, watching Netflix, hanging out with my husband and our two kitties, and relaxing on the beach with friends.
I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Alliance team and ensuring that all O'Donovan students have access to excellent instruction!
