8th Grade Promotion Activities & Dues

Plans have been finalized for the 2012 graduates of Christine O'Donovan Middle Academy!! Information about mandatory dues, 8th grade activities and graduation will be included in a letter to parents to be sent home on May 11th.
CST Challenge

During CST Testing, students have chances to win prizes for their class and for themselves by: Coming to school everyday; Being on time; Being in Dress Code; Demonstrating good Character; Being prepared with a book or a novel. Prizes include: Free Dress, Pizza Lunch, Ice Cream Social, Gift Cards, and more!!
CST Reminders

8th grade testing will continue the week of May14-18. 6th and 7th grade students will start school at 9:45am! Please arrange to have your child dropped off no earlier than 9:30am. All 8th graders are to report to their 1st period class when school begins at 7:45am. Please be sure your child gets a good night's sleep and arrives to school on time every day. We will provide them with a free breakfast!
***Weekly Parent Incentive***

This week receive 4 hours for every $10 Gift Card to McDonalds, Starbucks, iTunes, etc. The gift cards will be used as part of our COMA CST Incentive for students. Last day to complete parents annual 40 hours is Friday, June 1st.
O'Donovan Presents: Revolution Prep

Rev. Prep uses a holistic approach to improve test scores. Students use technology-based academic support and self-monitoring strategies to measure achievement. After school classes begin Monday Feb. 13th!
O'Donovan Presents: Free Academic Tutoring

Any student who receives an NP in any subject will receive free standards-based tutoring sessions. Tutoring will resume on May 14th.
***Homework Tip***

Please check your child's agenda book on a daily basis! Students without an agenda will be assigned detention, as they are deemed unprepared for school. Lost or stolen agendas can be replaced in the office for $10.
O'Donovan Presents: Parent Coupons

Want to earn service hours in a fun & educational way? O'Donovan now offers parent coupons to give you credit for taking your child places like a museum, aquarium and the library! Check the calendar for library events.

At any given time throughout the day Dragons will stop what they're doing and start reading. Support our effort to promote literacy by reading with your family!
