During Boys’ Physical Education classes, all male students will participate in Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (PPLA)’s Middle School Education Program. PPLA will provide health education and the curriculum will cover a variety of topics. Attached you will find letter that was mailed home with details and waiver form if you choose for your child not to participate.
Throughout the month of April our school will be focusing on some very important topics. These topics include: Bullying, which includes embracing differences, and Lockdown Procedures. In order for students to be exposed to each topic we will provide opportunities for learning through lunchtime activities, Advisory, and Team & Family assemblies. Attached is the Waiver Form you can sign and return if you do not wish for your student to participate.

We are happy to share that beginning second semester, Ouchi-O’Donovan will conduct its first NCLB Supplemental Educational Service (SES) program. The services the program offers includes FREE tutoring for your child and will focus on fundamental skills needed to close the achievement gap. Congratulations, your child has been selected!
Just to share, students were selected based on their CAASPP performance, EL status, lexile scores, or students recommended for SSTs. As a result, 44 students will be targeted and will receive between 15-25 hours of additional FREE tutoring by a state approved service provider.
If your child was selected, you will be receiving a phone call this week.

For our 2016 - 2017 incoming 7th Graders it is mandatory by law to have the TDap Vaccination to start the school year. Attached you find a letter and a flier regarding vaccination information and the due date that will be mail out to you. You will also find a list of clinics that provide the vaccination at no cost or low cost to you.
